Masfrost is one of the longest-running continuously operating vegetable processing plants in Europe. The tradition of vegetable and fruit processing at this company dates back to 1886.

Between 2013 and 2015, the entire plant underwent reconstruction and modernization, during which the production of canned food was discontinued, focusing solely on frozen vegetable production. Another step in the energy transformation of the factory in Ziębice, with an annual production capacity of nearly 35,000 tons of frozen vegetables, was the implementation of a photovoltaic installation project with a capacity of 1.7 MW.

The project consists of 3090 modules with a power of 550 W each and can produce 1.7 GWh of energy annually. This demonstrates the enormous potential of clean, renewable energy in meeting the growing energy demand. Collaboration with Masfrost represents a significant milestone in our commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

Masfrost is an extensive installation. Due to the various types of roofs, their shapes, and exposure, the construction had to be specially tailored to each section of the roof individually. The installation occupies a vast area of 7982 square meters, and the entire installation covers an area of 3.31 hectares.

From a technical perspective, implementing the project posed a significant challenge due to its high power. The installation of 2 coupling switchgears with a power of 850 kW each was necessary, which are connected through transformers.
