Aldi , a leading retail chain in Europe, will power its stores in Poland with green energy from photovoltaic installations built by Quanta Energy. This project will cover 40 large-format stores.
The collaboration with Quanta Energy is another element of ALDI’s sustainable development strategy. All the produced energy will be used for self-consumption, meaning the green solar energy will power refrigeration units, ventilation systems, and lighting. The project includes the installation of over 4,000 PV modules.
Aldi is a company with over 100 years of tradition, employing more than 91,000 people across Belgium, Germany, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain, and operating over 5,300 retail facilities throughout Europe.
